Long section relining.
The company, commencing the task realization, has, in order to keep the amount of groundwork to a minimum, due to the pipeline going through inhabited areas, decided to use the long section relining method. This consisted of putting PEHD 710x40.2 SDR 17.6 pipes produced by KWH Pipe inside the existing line and filling the hollow spaces between the pipes with a cement mix. Decreasing of pipeline diameter did not amount to loss in water flow due to the improvement of the line’s hydraulic characteristics. The technology has proved itself environment-friendly, fast and efficient.
For the realization of this contract the company has been awarded the Limbur 2002 award in the Project of the year 2002 – Renovation category.
