Tunnels
Tunnel construction works have appeared as a new product of PeBeKa in 1948. Knowledge and experiences gained by the company during the execution of several tunnel projects, including railway tunnels in Algeria, road tunnels in Turkey, Hong-Kong and Israel, hydrotechnical tunnels in Malaysia, have made it possible for the company to build tunnels in every rock formation.
Depending on the geological and hydrogeological conditions the company uses:
• traditional construction methods,
• conventional mining methods,
• special methods - NATM tunneling (New Austrian Tunnel Method) and shield tunneling.
