Shafts
Since the start of works on the Legnica-Głogów Copper Mining District PeBeKa was and is the main contractor of mining shafts in the region. Company engineers and specialists are the authors of unique ground freezing technology that enabled the exploitation of the copper deposit in the area. Up until now PeBeKa has sunk 29 shafts with 26.4 km of depth in total, which made up for the company’s experiences and capabilities in shaft construction.
As a company specialized in mining works, PeBeKa provides comprehensive preparations for shaft construction works:
• obtains permits for constructions and service connections,
• organizes proper power and water supply,
• with keeping the best positive aspects of local environment, the company does development works,such as: sewer system appurtenances, communication network, access and internal roads,
• using own cooling devices and technologies it builds chiller unit stations complete with installations and full shaft freezing infrastructure.
Experiences gained in the course of many years at the construction of all the shafts in the Copper Mining Region enabled the firm to develop a method of fast and failure-free frozen shaft sinking in any conceivable geological conditions. Possessing unique shaft construction technology and technology for rock formation freezing, today PeBeKa can even offer the execution of the most complicated shaft engineering facilities, including:
• shaft sinking with conventional and special methods with the use of rock formation freezing, preemptive cementation, cement and chemical injections,
• small shafts and underground storage reservoirs sinking with the use of large diameter holes and rising heading,
• sinking shafts and small shafts in movement,
• execution, reconstruction, exchange, sealing and repairs of all types of shaft lining,
• montages of permanent and temporary headframes, hoisting machines as well as mine extraction devices and shaft steelworks.
