Comprehensive execution of horizontal mine workings – exposing and preliminary – is one of the basic products offered by PeBeKa. This specialization is no wonder at all considering the company’s fifty years of tradition, as it was since its beginning tied to the discovery of copper ore deposits and mine construction in the Legnica-Głogów Copper Mining District. The company has excavated over 1000 kilometers of galleries and drifts as well as 700,000 m³ of chamber workings.

In the mines of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. PeBeKa executes:
• horizontal exposing workings, drilled along the deposit’s length – dividing the mining area into floors, fulfilling a purpose of transport and ventilation galleries,

• horizontal exposing workings, drilled along the deposit dip – creating complexes of main dips, exposing the lower part of the area or a nearby mine,

• preliminary workings cutting the deposit into exploitation fields.

Horizontal mining works include, apart from the gallery workings, technological chambers, indispensable for regular operation of mines. PeBeKa builds shaft bottoms as well as skip pockets, copper ore reloading junctions, crusher chambers with ore containers, passenger terminals, material reloading chambers, and entire transport junctions with electric locomotive and self-propelled repair machine chambers. The firm has experience in the construction of cutting-edge blast chambers in Polish mining, fusing self-propelled pit machines and pumps for main dehydration.
