Children and their cuddly toys are going to be the main character of”My little friend” exhibition, the works made by a photographer Grzegorz Pytka. The idea of the exhibition is to show the world from the children’s perspective. The exhibition will take place on Children’s Day in Cuprum Arena Shopping Centre in Lubin. The organizer of the exhibition is Mine Construction Company PeBeKa S.A. from Lubin.
On the 1st June we will celebrate “Children’s Day”. During this time none of the children should be left without love and the close family. The exhibition named “My little friend” is the original project of
a photographer Grzegorz Pytka dedicated to the youngest residents of the region. 60 children from Lubin and surroundings are presented on the photographs including the pupils form Special Needs School. Every child has posed for photograph with its little friend which is mostly a lovely teddy bear. There were also some children presenting another favourite and close to their hearts subjects.
- The kids, specially on “Children’s Day”, should be very important – says Sylwia Miniewska, the press spokesman of Mine Construction Company PeBeKa S.A. from Lubin, the organizer of the exhibition. The exhibition should draw adult’s attention to daily matters of the youngest – their cares of the day, dreams and everyday joys. Both healthy and disabled children took place in photo session, but we will not see any difference on the photographs. We would like not to bear the mark on the disability – explains Sylwia Miniewska.
During the exhibition the albums with the children’s photos made by Grzegorz Pytka can be bought. The total income from the album’s sale will be transferred to Special Needs School for the pupils.
Special Needs School from Lubin is under Mine Construction Company’s care, honourable Friend of the School. Contest for Easter and Christmas “Kindliness Cards” prepared by the pupils of SNS becomes a sort of tradition for the company. PeBeKa also supports the school while organizing the occasional celebrations or charity events.
Lubin on Grzegorz Pytka’s camera
“My little friend” exhibition is another project of Grzegorz Pytka a photographer from Lubin. He got interested in photography over five years ago. He graduated of International Forum of Photography “Kwadrat” in Wrocław and he is a student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań. The works of Grzegorz Pytka were presented on many exhibitions both individual and group ones in Berlin, Wrocław and Lubin. The photographer became famous for calendar projects with the photos of beautiful women from Lubin in his home city.
- You must love people if you want to take photos of them. The attitude towards the world is very important in the photographer’s job – says Grzegorz Pytka, the originator and author of the photos shown during “My little friend” exhibition. In my works I always try to show the most interesting and beautiful things from human nature. The power of photography allows you to keep a fleeting moment and close the past in the picture.
But this time the artist took a step forward by transporting a part of the past into the present. How did he do it? Everyone who will visit Cuprum Arena in Lubin next Monday, can be convinced itself. We kindly invite everybody!
